bigtone
Presumably seen in Custom Car Magazine? I do not like the deep grille style Audi have now adopted and can only think of Alfa where that style seems OK. I would imagine it has been done for the enormous US market where awful car design is still king. You only have to look at their latest triumph with that Chrysler 300C thing for example, which Clarkson was very objective about recently. It seems to me that trying to make a D2 look like a D3 enters the twilight zone of the kevins or chavs or whatever they are called currently. For me, the 03-05 A8 is probably the best because the clever design features of Audi are embodied together with the classic 3-box style, with a nice front end included. [/ QUOTE ] Or to help meet new Euro pedestrian impact safety regulations? Lots of manufacturers are going with more rounded front ends with softer pedestrian impact points.
