Porsche Boxster 2.5L

I am finding it difficult finding a company that will tune the Boxster, and came accross super chips who are charging £290 fitted. They have a mobile service and offer a 14day trail.

Power increase between 10bhp and 15bhp.

Anyone here used Super chips on a Boxster 2.5L?

If so any are they any good?

Okay..spoke to Gforce:

Level 1: ECU Remap + Air Filter (will take a week) Cost £1200! (takes the car to 215bhp)

Level 2: ECU Remap + Air Filter + Headers(will take a week) Cost £2500! (takes the car to 220bhp)

Level 3: ECU Remap + Air Filter + Headers + Sports Exhaust(will take a week) Cost £3700! (takes the car to 230bhp)

Also 15BHP is 15BHP, though i guess it would slightly change the drive of the car which for £290 i think would be worth a try...though i can not belive no one here with a Boxster has used Superchips.

Porsche themselves do a sports exhaust (though not sure if they did one for the 2.5) but this would be v. expensive. You'll only get any significant power boost if you change the exhaust and the cats, Hayward & Scott do some good stainless steel exhausts for the Boxster, and they do make a really good sound!.

Sam - as said earlier, and backed up by everyone else's comments, the N/A 2.5 isn't that tuneable without serious expenditure and you're starting from a lowish output. Could I make the alternative suggestion that you enjoy the car for the summer, and save your money to go toward changing it for a 3.2S when they are cheaper in autumn / winter - the difference in performance will stagger you.
