How to keep S8 looking sexy?

I've just acquired an Audi S8 in fern green perlescent (sp). Naturally I want to make it extra shiny.

Normally I use Autoglym SRP and EGP and clay twice a year - but after reading this forum i've been tempted by the dark side and wonder if using P21S on top of this would make a good combination?

drmotorsport just trying to remember the exact colour if it's dark then go for Pinnacle Souveran if it's light try Pinnacle Signature i have tried P21s and i'm not over convinced.

it's a light colour. where can I ge the pinnacle stuff?

You want Signature then Try Ron at www.motorgeek.co.uk it's about 17quid a tub, put it on nice and thin and use a microfibre for removing and buffing

Is it worth using the wax over the top of the autoglym products or do I need something else to clean the paint first?

Really depends on how far you want to go my process is

1. wash car 2 bucket method

2. clay car (prob 1 or 2 times a year)

3. cleanse paintwork

4. polish car

5. seal paintwork

6. wax with carnuba

bit ott but i enjoy it the wallet doesn't

what megs products do you recommend to do the above 1 to 6?

Not sure about the cleansing stage - surely the claying or polising has the same effect?

My original point was is it worth the time/expense of applying another wax over the EGP (which supposedly contains carnuba anyway), will I get any tangible benefit or is it just money

Dom it all depends on what you want, i personally now don't like EGP i used to use it all the time but IMO there are better products and a little experimenting is involved to get the look you want, ie bling shiney, deep shine, wet look etc so to answer your question Yes i would try it to see if i liked the result

as for the cleansing you really can see the difference because it removes the left over residue from claying

Try gold class shampoo though don't use to much in the bucket

then clay followed up with the 3 stage products

I used the AG polish and EGP and found them ok until i discovered Meg's. I now only use a cleaner when i need one and use a separate pure polish (Megs #81) and then seal it with either Blitz Wax or Pinnacle Souveran. The AG Polish is part cleaner, polish and wax. A sort of jack of all trades. Try to go down the separates route.

I stand corrected! I guess i'll try something else when I run out of the usual...

The other thing with AG is with it being a cleaner and polish then its slightly aggressive so when you use the AG it will probably remove any other products used before it.
