Korean cars

When will the koreans design an interior that doesn't look like it is out of a skip. Some of their cars look and are excellent especially the new sante fe in my opinion but why do the interiors have to be completly kack. Does anyone else agree with me.

The problem is they are also cheap, which means even a one year old car has numerous rattles from the interior.

True, that's not enough to put a lot of people off buying them, but it'd niggle me. Someone I know has a Kia and despite being nearly new when I rode in it, it still had more squeaks and rattles than my ten year old BMW with 97k on the clock.

The point is, the sort of person that buys a car like that doesn't usually care too much what the interior [and sometimes even the exterior] really looks like, so long as it's cheap to buy and cheap to run.

I suppose the main reason is to keep production costs to a minimum, thus enabling them to sell the cars for so little.

A very valid point, however new korean cars especially hyundai's are quite expensive so more people by from different manufacturers.

If they leave a quid's worth of screws and clips out of a design and they sell a million cars they have effectively made a million quid more profit.

The trouble to my mind is that their cars have zero image. If they worked on that they'd probably sell a lot more cars.

Early Japanese dashboards were terrible desing too, just that they were screwed together better.........
