abelstree
I picked my 3dr Manual R32, Leather, Armrest in Steel Grey. Fantastic car & so much quicker than my old Cooper S. Last Friday, I picked up a large stone chip on the roof of the car. The dealer provided me with touch-up stick in "United Grey" - which is the US name for Steel Grey. Unfortunately, the scratch on the roof is still visible, as the touch-up stick looks like a different colour. Anyone out there with any ideas - I don't think its worth respraying the roof and a localised spray would be visible. Any ideas on whether anyone knows of touch up specialists in the Herts area who could provide me a perfectly matched touch-up sample.

ChrisBuer
Hi and welcome to Tyresmoke! These guys were fantastic at repairing damage to my old Cooper S - http://www.chipsaway.co.uk/ and I'd imagine they would do an equally good job on your R32. How do you find the car compared to the Mini? I've just sold my JCW Mini and get my 3dr Steel Grey R32 in September, so I'd be interested to hear your comments regarding the comparison of the two!! Cheers! Chris.
abelstree
The R32 is so much quicker, so much smoother and far more under-stated than the Cooper S. I have only done a mere 250 miles, but the way the car picks up speed is fantastic. As for the handling - the car is far less skitish. It does not trameline like the mini did. As I am still running the car in, I have not yet gone hell for leather. Fuel consumption is obviously worse, but the mini was never a light drinker. It will drop when the right foot is extended.
