nordberg
Went for my first proper drive last night and did the usual brake test. Was doing about 60mph and slammed all on. The car pitched and wallowed quite badly and I had to react to stop it leaving the road! Quite a hairy moment. I then did a few more tests at slower speeds and things seemed to improve. I did another test at about 60mph and it felt better, but not great to be honest. I certainly couldn't brake hard in a straight line. I'm guessing, as the car has only really been driven in stop/start traffic until now, the disks and pads need bedding in a bit. Would you concur? Lynas
It's advised that you don't slam the anchors on when the car is new, bed them in slowly... about 400 miles should do it.
