dainton
Why does the Haynes manual appear to hate the 8v MK3 GTi driver so much. Apart from buying the slowest GTi ever made what have we done to deserve such scorn. The manual appears to have unqiue instructions for every engine apart from the AGG model. I have a 1984cc 8v AGG model Golf with 117K on the clock. The timing belt was last done at 75K and I feel that I'm going to have to do it sooner or later as I'm doing about 17K miles a year. However, the haynes manual is a bit vague on this engine model. So what I'd appreciate is a guide on how to change the timing belt on the AGG engine. Also if I do decide to pay someone to change this, how much would I usually be looking at?
