nhs
Hmmm, difficult to tell whether it's merely failures of description and translation. The VIN is a MY2005 car, so it is quite old to have only done 800 miles Says its got a towbar - can't see one.... As it is nearly 2 years old the VW warranty will be about to expire As a MY05 car it is likely to be the CD driven SatNav rather than the DVD one It doesn't have UK spec GTI wheels, so you are two grand down on those at VW prices It's got a cassette player, but no Thatcham class 1 alarm The engine size is misstated at 2000, surely 1984, so do they know what they are selling At £18212.50 delivered at the "Buy it now" price (including VAT) it is not a bargain. Also it is a second hand car and to import it will be a nightmare of paperwork - and if you pick it up in Germany you probably need to pay German VAT. There are some anomolies regarding VAT anyway with this car as it is second hand - so won't be "new at first registration" when it hits the UK. But there will be DVLA fees to pay as well.... There have been better cheaper GTIs sold on fleabay - for example this one with leather went for £K17. But if it all goes tits up, you are going to have real trouble getting any recourse against a seller in Germany Any fleabay car buy is a risk, but this seems one step beyond
JonGTI
I just found it funny like you say how none GTI spec it is, the seller even claims its the forthcoming 30th anni,
silentandy
The fact they state in the description it's a 6 speed automatic rather than DSG should ring alarm bells.
Simonl
It's . All test cars have to be crushed, regardless of how finished they are. IMO it's probably just an underspecced EU import, probably from Eastern Europe.
JonGTI
Leman, this is true, a friend in the car industry working at bentley, witnessed a bentley turbo just back from testing in south africa been destroyed. They just took alloys off to keep, crushed the rest.....
