colly
Gutted, car due to go for MOT in a few days and the airbag light has decided to come on and stay on. Anybody had this before? how can I get the thing off without going to the dealers?
shark_90
Unfortunately, you can't. It'll need resetting with VAG-COM or dealer systems I'm afraid
DukeDesmo
Happened to mine last year, turns out that when the passenger seat was moved forward it pulled on the connector in the floor (wires are too short) even if you refit it all it still needs resetting. I phoned Audi assist and they sent out the recovery/breakdown guy who did it at my house - been fine since.
colly
Thanks for the help - I thought the only way was to get her plugged in. DukeDesmo that would make sense as recently I was adjusting the seat back and fourth. Cheers
Paul
you could try dropping nthe power off the battery, for a few mins, if you are lacking vagcom, and in need of a quick fix for mot. It wont stop it comming back if there is still an airbag issue though.
