Having the exact same prob, car due in this weekend for MOT and light has decided to come on. Going to try Paul-S3's suggestion with the battery and hopefully stay off long enough to go through. s3ollie Posted May 23, 2006 Author Report Share Posted May 23, 2006 i have tried clearing the codes with vagcom and they just come straight back. i dont have a mot due for around 6 months so have a while to sort it out. as suggested i think its a bit of job to disconnect the light - and it will prob fail anyway because it is supposed to come on to show its working when the keys is turned.
