[Audi A3/S3] Shocking

Might sound like a daft question but, how can I tell if my shock absorbers need replacing, can't see anything wrong with them (leeks etc) but it just doesn't seem to handle as well as it used to

All help/advice appreciated.

i think,if the shocks are gone/going,the car will wallow,and not settle straight away?.

its hard to tell if the shocks have gone, one way is to bounce test it, push the corner of the car down and it should go down then settle upwards. if it goes down again then the shocker may be duff. Its hard to tell without removing them.

My front offside started to knock at 2000miles from new, so it was replaced under warranty. Thats how you can tell
