colinallcars
Thinking about getting an A4 Avant and would like some advice. I've looked at 2 so far; a 2.4 petrol and a 1.9 diesel (130bhp); both 2003 and both autos. Are the auto boxes steptronic or something else? I've heard the 2.4 petrols drink oil - is this true? Any common faults I should look out for? The 2.4 has 30K miles and is £13K; the 1.9 has 40K miles and is £14K (though with no trade in I should get something off) - are these prices reasonable? UBM
I have driven a B6 1.9TDI avant multitronic. It was great, until a nicked it on a wall.... Yes, the 2.4 will take more oil than petrol...
SPLiiX
Consider a 1.8T. People say they are "Bullet Proof".
