Got a call yesterday from the wife saying tyre was flat. So she called out Audi assist to get it changed and there is a lovely piece of metal in the tread.

Took it to today to get it repaired, only to find the sidewall is fecked, so it's a new tyre.

£170 is the cheapest I could get for a pilot sport 2.

Or £90 for a cheapie to use as a spare.

I know - I'm currently in the process of buying two. Got some Dunlop Sport 01's (currently on the car) for about 150 each fitted to my door- when they turn up next Tuesday to do it....

I know how you feel, I had the same happen to me on the way down to Padstow this week, there was a piece of wood in the carriageway and if I had swerved then I would have hit other cars, the piece of wood pierced the tyre wall and has ruined a nearly new PS2, luckily i have a full size spare, I am going to get a cheapy for the spare
