alecomarch
Hi, Undoubtedly been asked before, but what are these things like to run in terms of costs? (I'm thinking about buying an old 2.5). I know I want one, that goes without question! and they're pretty affordable, and I've had an insurance quote, but am I going to be forking it out at the garage? Thanks in advance!! kerbside
With older cars it is hard to say as the cost to the new owner is determined by how well the previous owner treated it! In other wards if it doesnt have a good service history it is going to cost more! Genuine parts are pretty steep but serviced well you won't really need to buy them much. Specialists usually know what bits can be sourced cheaper (i.e. Driveshaft joints are VW/Audi items!) Fuel economy is comparatively good for a 2.5 but this is dependant on how you drive it! Drive it thoughtfully and service it regularly and you will get the figures to silence any 'Pub expert'!
