Cruise control A4 b7 is retrofit possible ?

I offered to lend shark my 80 TDI while his A4 is being repaired. Seventy-odd miles after he picked it up yesterday it seems that a niggling throttle problem it's had for a while got worse, leaving him stranded. frown.gifSAUER0421.GIF

We're not sure yet, but it may just be a case of me not explaining it properly, as the fault only occurs occasionally and there's a way round it - if you know how!

However I should have explained it more thoroughly smashfreakB.gif

AND got off my arse and got it sorted before now smashfreakB.gifsmashfreakB.gifROLLEY~14.GIF

And if that wasn't enough, apparently the AA were incompetent f**kwits on this occasion and it was hours before he got home. Flush.gif

I've been batting southern enquiries your way mate!

The 80's driving fine today, up to now. I was just bothered by a Check Engine light, which is why I decided to get recovered, with it not being my car ROLLEY~14.GIF

I wish now I'd have just carried on and drove it after yesterday. 4 hours at the side of the M5 is enough to make anyone barmy.

Well Shark_90 installed cruise control on my B7 yesterday, and did a great job 169144-ok.gif If anyone is thinking about this retrofit, then I would defiantly get it done.

Shark_90 did you use a new Ross Tech HEX CAN Lead or did you get away with the older type?
