AGK512
Hi all When driving across the water do you still need a "bulb & fuse kit" at all times ? Hoe does this work (or not) for Xenons ?? sureley you don't tecnically need to carry a lamp unit ? DO VW have a MkV "euro kit" ? Cheers
Dr_Watson
I was wondering about that too. I know here, if you have headlight and sidelight out, if the poilce stop you, you are not allowed to drive any further until at least one bulb is fixed (think sidelight is enough, not sure) Its happened to 2 of my friends, one had to leave his Toyota picnic in the town and get the train home, my other friend had to call TCS (RAC), he came and tapped her headlight cover and the bulb came back on, she was gutted, her contract had actually just finished with TCS so she paid a fortune for a loose connection! The police don't have a clue here, strict as heck at some things and ignore most of the other (more dangerous) points about the bad driving here.
