collease Posted June 5, 2006 Report Share Posted June 5, 2006 Just installed my new head unit got all the correct connectors. Worked fine for about a week but for the last week the reception on it has becom awful. It wont pick up radio stations automatically and the reception just dips in and out all the time. Its not the area im in as the radio in my dads car works fine. Any ideas what it could be and what i could do to fix it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Soapsuds Posted June 5, 2006 Report Share Posted June 5, 2006 in the golf, i'm sure they have a powered antennae amplifier - you can get connectors off eBay / Ice shops that give the aerial a separate 12v feed as the VAG HU had this built in and your new one wont.
