Recently all the young chavs in my area have been coming of age and passing there driving tests and buying cars (Saxo, Polo's, 106's etc etc) and most of them have been asking me to help them repair/modify/chav up there cars which i am now doing of free (or very cheap) as i always wished someone would have helped me out when i was there age. I am now amazed at how much money they pour into the cars, one lad asked me to fit a set of 15" wheels (£400), sporty back box (£110) and a quick oil change (£14) yet his car it only worth £1000 maximum, it took me 2 hours to do this for him, which is the time i was going to spend cleaning my car so the young chav offered to clean my Mondeo today which he has and the job he has done a first class job using all of his own products (i think he has every Meguiars product under the sun) and he used a wash mitt not a sponge shocked.gif

All the chav's are willing to help me when i am working on there cars and they all willing to learn.

My main point is that just because they are a Chav's and drive little poxy car with Lexus style light there is no need to put them down all the time.

Granted there car still look dung.gif but they are happy with there cars.

Some chavs are more chavvy than others obviously 169144-ok.gif

However just because they cant afford a decent car, doesn't mean they are inherently bad 169144-ok.gif

The fact that they cherish and polish their own cars, would probably indicate they will respect other peoples pride and joys too 169144-ok.gif

The reason I guess a lot of these young guys/girls have old bangers has a lot to do with the prohibitive insurance premiums. We shouldn't knock them all the time 169144-ok.gif

I'm likely going to end up in my Grandad's Rover 114, which i could do worse than to receive because he won't take book price off me, I'll still pay him but It wont be as much.

I'll elave it standard, it has alloys, a spoiler, all I need grin.gif

Alot of these chav cars are very well modified, the craftsmanship is often top rate, it's the shoddy ones that are a bit suspect tbh. They, as mentioned are also car enthusiasts, they just need to develop some taste! wink.gif

I had the pleasure of some fartcan equipped POS, going past our place at 2.30am this morning. Supposed 20mph limit down the road..... mad.gif

Nearly every night is the same actually. They treat the traffic island like a chicane and than thrash it towards a mini roundabout about 30 yds on (so we get to hear the fartcan at full revs again) and have to jump on the brakes.

Council yet to 'adopt' the road so no chance of speed humps or anything and the Police have a bout of cba. What to do? confused.gif My current plan is either a Spoon N1 or Buddy Club exhaust and to take a trundle round to their houses at around 3 or 4am....

I think there needs to be a division between Chavs and Boy Racers here.

Boy Racers are into their small cars with fart boxes and 20" wheels and all that malarky, we laugh at them but the majority of them are great guys who, like us, are car enthusiasts but with a different taste which I'm sure will eventually change - everyone has to start somewhere.

Chavs tend to be arrogant tw*ts and a waste of space. You of course get the cross contamination of a Chavs whom is also a Boy Racer.

People tend to tar the Boy Racers with the Chav brush, but most of them aren't at all.

EDIT : Sorry Ari, didn't realise you made the same seperation between Boy Racers and Chavs. I should read ALL the posts before posting. sekret.gif
