Some Advice Please

Just taken delivery of a pristine black A4.

I know people have very kindly posted their advice numerous times, but I'm looking for some more general advice i.e. not necessarily product names

Obviously, this car is fresh from the showroom and presumably polished/protected to a degree.

What I need to know is, how to keep it in this condition, not so much the washing, but what to do afterwards.

Do I use polish, wax, sealant, glaze? Guess this depends on what product I've washed with?

I happen to have some Zymol HD Cleanse from a previous car, which I'll probably use for starters.

Not looking to strip off what is already on the car, just preserve it as is (without swirling if possible).

Any advice very gratefully received. 169144-ok.gif

I had mine done with supaguard. It was the best £250 I've spent. Washing it is so easy and just give the usual front bonnet and grille areas a light claying now and again to get any stubborn blood marks from the front. Quick wipe don with detailing spray and its like new again 169144-ok.gif

Hi mate,

If the paint is in A1 condition, the best thing to do is use a cleanser. The zymol is ideal, follow that with a sealant (Klasse Glaze, Four Star UPP, Poorboys EX-P etc) then if desired top that with a wax. Again lts of choices to suit all budgets!

Cheers Tim

Thanks for the advice 169144-ok.gif

The car is 2 days old, so will probably just use my Zymol Auto Bathe (no need for Cleanse afterwards?). I've got some Zymol towels, but from memory, they aren't too effective.

Might try the Klass Glaze after that (look out for an order?). What would you recommend to apply this with?

Hopefully that will keep it looking like new for a while, without the need for cleansing and waxing (okay, I'm lazy shocked.gif).
