AnArtist1
Cheers for the link. I was told that Mr Warranty was taking care of this little problem. Tomorrow Audi might actually provide an Audi as promised!!!!
SneakyMcC
Warranty? So there is a God! Just a thought... I once bought a used Audi from a stealer. The CV joint on a drive shafts started knocking and I went to see the Service team. They said I'd need to change both sides Which I agreed after Service had spent 10mins trying to convince me. My parting shot when I left, having booked the car in, was to tell him to see the sales team about the warranty they'd given me. Eventually they changed both shafts and all for joints as agreed... AnArtist1
Got the car back! Delivered back to me this afternoon, but the poor driver had to put £15 of fuel in it. Hmmm well over half a tank has vanished since Thursday! Oh and its really dirty, how kind of them to make a customer happy by maybe removing all the bird sh1te and hand marks!!!!!! It no longer rattles It goes like stink but... at high revs it now sounds like it's got a 'Super charger' whirring like mad!!!!!! Any ideas on 'Super charger' noises? sounds like its coming from the front right, air box maybe?
Botang
It goes like stink and sounds like its got a super charger.....are you sure they havent fitted a supercharger Other than that maybe the air box isnt quite seated properly sound like an air leak, somewhere. nikw
Sounds to me as if they've over-tightened the auxiliary belt on the front of the engine. If that is the case then you may end up with bearing failure on the things driven by that belt (alternator, power steering pump, aircon pump). I would get it checked if I were you! AnArtist1
If it does the 'Super-charger' thing again I will get back to Audi. It has been very quiet over the weekend. Cheers
AnArtist1
Took the "Super charger" noise back to the stealers. 3 days later I was basically told the noise was not 'serious' and I should live with it!! Is it me but isn't an Audi dealer meant to put the Audi cars right, especially when there work has caused the noise in the first place????? I am going to try another dealer... Ska
I've just spent the morning discussing the incompetence of main stealers with my mechanic whose got news paper articles on the bodge ups of main stealer garages plastered in the main reception

[/ QUOTE ] Oh, Artist, Artist, Artist. Surely you should know by now that the job of the dealer is to take two or three attempts to carry out a simple task, in the process causing another fault, which they then refuse all responsibility for, saying that A) You can't prove the fault wasn't there all along, even though they didn't spot it all the previous times they had the car. B) You have no right to expect them to actually do anything they tell you they are going to do, especially not anything you're foolish enough to pay them for. C) You should be grateful for the privilege of having a dealer wreck your car, as unlike the chimps in non-franchised places, their chimps wear nice Audi logos on their boiler suits.
