First month in my Cab

Well after one month of cab motoring I'm on the whole pretty happy. Just a couple of things really annoy me.

1. Is it me or do the brakes feel a bit spongy, I had a TT before and the brakes felt great, very instant and strong. Is there a brake upgrade that can be installed?

2. Passenger side window drops 6 inches when I raise the roof, this doesn't happen everytime but I would have said 1 in 3 roof raises. Anybody else got this problem.

Apart from these minor problems we have been very happy so far, the weather has helped. Got my parents over this weekend and my Dad is keen to compare his CLK with the Audi. Let you know what he thinks next week.

Spiral.

Maybe they need to bed in a bit more.

Mine are excellent and before I drove off the forecourt, my Salesman said be careful of the brakes as they are very sharp. I have to agree smile.gif

No complaints with the brakes at all.

I haven't experienced any problems with my windows, so can not comment.

Brakes absolutely definitely not spongy!

Quite the opposite, I find driving other cars feel spongy after my A4 Cab, and other people driving mine always comment on the sharpness of the brakes.

I've had that window dropping thing too. Completely random, and oddly doesn't seem to happen as much as it used to. Predictably it never does it when being demonstrated to the dealer... smashfreakB.gif

Glad you're enjoying it though, fabulous car! notworthy.gif

Any photos you can post?

Hi HC! smile.gif

Been off this week so been whizzing about doing stuff. Looked in on the forum once or twice quickly, but no time to post. Having a quiet morning today though, so thought I'd catch up.

Hows stuff with you? Cab still behaving itself I hope?

Fingers and everytihng crossed, so far so good grin.gif

Actually starting to enjoy it now. I think its probably because it's the longest time I have had with it in one go, before it had to go back to the dealer.

Still waiting to hear about the new rack though, but i'm not rushing them.

The only thing I have now though, is a really annoying squeak in backrest of the drivers seat which only occurs when I drive the car - no one else confused.gif I can't make it do it staionery by moving/bouncing in the seat, only whe nactually moving confused.gifconfused.gif

Oh well, i'm sure i'll get it sorted some time smile.gif

Had great fun this morning putting the gearbox in manual mode and whizzing through the 6 gears. It totally transforms the driving experience having it in manual mode, plus you really get to hear the lovely exhaust note that you are enjoying so much heart.gif

I have often wondered if I should do the manual mode more often, so the engine gets a chance to rev higher up the scale, because normally the multitronic keeps the revs so low and surely that must make it clog/coke up a bit. crazy.gif

Oh well better go do some work grin.gif

HC,

Definitely think a good blast does them good occasionally.

The other thing I notice is they always seem to feel better after a really good long motorway run.

Oh and little squeaks from the interior can be very annoying. smashfreakB.gif

Glad you're having fun though!
