RossG
Hey everybody - My friend is selling her TT 225. Whilst taking a prospective buyer for a test drive the car basically died - still running but really spluttery and rough. Called the AA - who mentioned something about a misfire in cylinders 1 and 3. I think this sounds like the coil pack issue? The car is a 51 plate with average miles. So, if it's the coil packs, what sort of cost should we be looking at to get them changed. She stays near Glasgow Airport - so Glasgow Audi are her best bet, but if anyone knows of a decen VW specialist in and around the area I would be glad to know... Cheers all
Scotty
Go to the dealer. I thought everyone had got 'em changed out by now.
RossG
Thanks Scotty! I don't know the history of the car - so can't comment if they have been done before...
dogbucket
They cost about £20 each, but even though the car is out of warranty I would hope they would change them for free as it was a major issue for VAG cars of that age.
geo_nr1
Ross, if she isn't happy with Glasgow, try Stirling...they are good to deal with
