Chris18 Posted July 25, 2006 Report Share Posted July 25, 2006 I have a Mk 4 1.6 Golf I have reently been having problems with the drivers side electric window somtimes it might not want to open or if does open when i use the one click to make it go up it gets halfway up and dies and the glass drops back down does anyone know what the problem is or have experience with this problem? My other problem is when you switch the engine on somtimes it cuts out but then you can start it again and it will be fine does any one have any idea of what that could be? It's the window regulator that is borked and will need fixing. I would expect to pay about £75 squids for the kit to do it yourself or about £170 squids to get your main stealer to fix it. mulkbear Posted July 25, 2006 Report Share Posted July 25, 2006 1. sounds like the window seales are sticking causing the window to think something/someone is jammed in the window gap (try using so silcon free lube spray on the window seals) 2.
