shipy
Any ideas if a multi-function steering wheel can be retro-fitted. I take it a new steering control unit would be required and the car re-programmed?
Fergy
dont know shipy but Id also be interested if it can be retrofitted to B6
shark_90
From what I know, I'd like to say technically yes. But I know a lot more about B6's than B7 (as my car/testbed is a B6) so I'd be more confident on a B6. But I think "Yes" is the answer
Fergy
Shark, whats involved on B6 retro fit
shark_90
I think: new steering wheel control module, new steering wheel, new airbag. Due to the steering wheel being different (4 spoke) you'll need an airbag, and I'm afraid that's not cheap. But I'm pretty sure it can be done. timps
I asked the same question of the Audi master tech that fitted cruise on my B6. Answer he has done this mod a couple of times but it was not cheap due to the reasons you outlined so I gave it a miss.
