Audi GSM Phone Prep problems

Morning all,

First post here on TSN, and I am afraid it is with a question....

I have recently upgraded my Audi S2 to a 2001 S6 saloon, and am loving every minute of it, especially the climate!

It is an ex-demo car, and hence has a high spec including RNS-D, TV, Bose and GSM phone prep, but I cannot get the phone to work. one of my problems is I am not actually sure what I am expecting, I think that the stereo should mute and I should get the audi through the 'phone speaker, but should anything else happen?

Also, my phone was not compatible with the ancient Nokia Cullmann cradle being a Nokia POPport phone, so I have temporarily acquired a new one that should be compatible with my phone. My phone recognises that it is in a car, but no joy from the RNS. Is the unit phone agnositc or is there new software/VAG-COM settings needed to recognise the type of phone ?

There is no setting required on the RNS - as soon as you initiate or receive a call the signal at the mute input should mute the radio, feed the phone audio to the radio speakers and display 'Phone' or 'Telefon' in the DIS.
