dennnis
How do all, A few people have told me that when I sink the boot from take off or over taking that a nice thick smoke cloud appears from behind. So i mentioned it at the local dealership while getting her serviced and they reckon it's the pse performance chip I installed a year ago. So just wondering is there anything to stop this from happening apart from removing the chip of course. Thanx

thereheis
where do you actually buy the kit?
activa
Is the chip you fitted like a tuning box that just plugs into the fuel rail? If so,that is definitely why it's smoking.I wouldn't worry about it,it's only extra fuel being kicked out.
dgl
My 2.0 Tdi is not remapped or chipped and I always get a cloud of smoke if I boot it. It's quite common with diesels I thought?!
Ashe
I've always heard the recommendation from my dealer that it's good to regularly floor it so you "clean" something within your engine. If you don't do it regularly and accelerate slowly all the time, you will receive more and more smoke after time even when not flooring. I don't have the technical details behind it so my apologies for that.
