Rear wiper washer connection joint broke

I pushed the stalk to wash my rear screen this morning, I heard the motor go but no water was sprayed out (I did have water in there). Looked in my rear view mirror and could see the water coming into the car SAUER0421.GIF

I took the trim off and could see the platic bit the connects the pipe that feeds the water to the spray bit had cracked and could not connect back on, recon it must of been heat as strange part to fail. Does anyone know if the plastic joint bit can be replaced on its own or would the whole pipe which I assume runs from the front of the car have to be replaced (which would be a bastard). I tried masking it up which fixes it a bit but still have water comming in.

This is an 02 A3 but I assume the setup parts is pretty simular across all Audi's

Thanks jump.gif

Fairly common problem on A3's. I would usually cut off the plastic connector and use a bit of rubber tubing in its place (vacuum hose). I would insert the existing plastic washer tube into the rubber tube and then connect the other end of the rubber tube onto the rear washer jet, use small cable ties to ensure connections. 3-4 cms of rubber tubing is enough. Regards

Cheers its doesnt have the bit i need though, its the plastic bit that hangs off the water feeder pipe. Im going to try the vacuum hose route suggested by 4RingsDH, does anyone know when I can buy this from ? Seem them on ebay but dont have an account yet, only other places seem to sell it it in min 25meter lengths, I want around 4cm but will settle for a meter
