simon999
Hi, Has anyone encountered a problem where when you turn the volume up on the concert cd/radio that it goes down rather than up initially, particularly when there's a soft bit on the cd? If so, is this common and should I get the unit replaced under the warranty? Cheers in advance, simon.
rball
I had that on my old S3! Gets worse when it was cold I found. Think all that can be done is to swap the HU. Never bothered to change mine and only sold the car recently

JayBeeS3
had my radio repaired (via the dealer) because the only other alternative was to buy a new one (EUR 1.000). apparently switching an old radio for a refurbed one was not possible here in Cloggyland. Repair took a bit long (8 weeks) but only costed EUR 160. It was the Eprom chip and like others I only had 2 options for the volume: either full or nothing at all (quite annoying). Also I had a cracking noise from one of the rear speakers. This also was solved by the new chip (I assume because the cracking sound is now gone).
