Just thought I would post up a quick message to see if anyone has ever had any problems with a squeaking Alternator belt tensioner, or something similar in that part of the engine making an intermittant squeaking noise when idiling?? I popped into my local VW place this afternoon and spoke to a head tech, and he seemed to think that this is what it might be. Obviously though, he can't say for sure without pulling it all about and finding out the hard way.... I was just wondering if anyone knows of any quick-fixes for this? Seeing as my car is now out of warranty, this could end up being a pricey one at the stealers otherwise...! Thanks! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
