RichardT
Not in the way I would hope though, I have a 05 140 tdi sportback. When i start it up and pull away after it has been stood for a while, the car shudders, almost like the clutch is slipping or something like that. It is more noticeable when the car is on an incline and therefore under load. When the car is warm it goes away. The dealer has checked it out but couldnt find anything. Any ideas, or anyone had the same thing. Rich.
Jools
Had the same thing on an A4 tdi. But also did the same thing when slowing down, ended up being a faulty valve in the DSG gearbox replaced under warranty. Low and behold it has started again and it is now a week out of warranty. iceman2002_uk
I'm reliably informed by a well known motoring organisation that Audi's are now equipped with whats called a Dual-Mass Flywheel, where the springs are no longer contained in the clutch plate but in the actual flywheel itself. Apparently these flywheels can warp slightly and make the flywheel vibrate occasionally causing clutch judder, however if the speed sensor on the flywheel for the engine speed cant read the speed correctly for the vibration, like when the engine is under load, it retards the timing and causes a misfire. ....sound familiar???
