floss Posted August 19, 2006 Author Report Share Posted August 19, 2006 nope this is my third audi.had a 90 1988 model it had heated door mirrors. also had a a4 1999 model it also had heated mirrors.am i right in thinking you can make them heated at a price? kite Posted August 19, 2006 Report Share Posted August 19, 2006 Don't take this as gospel but,I've heard that if you take the glass out the wires are there you just need to connect them or buy heated glass if yours don't have connector on ! Tilt mirror up as far as it will go, prise the glass out with a plastic ruler, should pop out. I'm unable to take the blame if they break Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Edd_W Posted August 23, 2006 Report Share Posted August 23, 2006 I suspect the control circuit is linked to the heated washer jets so you could be right. I have to say, every Audi I have owned from a 1985 80 sport, has had heated mirrors and they have all worked apart from a wire dropping off after a n/s mirror was bashed once.
