danksy
Come on then lets be having you 722 miles in the 80 on a 60l tank. Averaged 63.4mpg since I have had the a2 (1500 miles), but have seen a range of 785 miles indicated when filling up 85 mpg

I think you should have an advantage in that case (if we're going for miles per tank) yet it doesn't seem to be that way.
J_C
I'm pretty sure it's 60l, but I'll double check

shark_90
Fuel tank on an 80 FWD is 68 litres according to the book in the car, although J_C tells me the book is for a series 3 80, not a series 4. I don't imagine it'd be any smaller though? I have some picture updates, although I'm not going to post them on a GPRS connection. I'll post them when I'm home! Just a taster to keep you interested, I'm on 659 at the moment and it hasn't stopped yet...

Total was 75,000 miles @40.2 mpg. At least I'm not the only skin flint. HaHa FootSore

shark_90
749. And I bottled it on the motorway and pulled in to Watford Gap services! Got 65 litres in the tank (just) which means there was a good 3 litres left in. 3 litres = 35-45 miles... Next challenge 800 miles anyone? This could become a phenomenon!
