Good find Simon... The MKV R looks great in silver IMO. Good to hear one from the outside too.... The R must surely be the best sounding car straight out the box for the money.

Wonder how many there are up here now... Don't see many on the roads....

Pity you weren't after a 3dr... Could've maybe done a deal with you frown.gif

Yep... I'm in Stirling.. Not fed up with the car, just not as happy with it as I was with my MKIV R. The MKV is a far better all round "everyday" car however. Maybe I'd be happier with it if I had stuck with a manual.

Since your in Dunfermline, You'll be fairly handy for Star Performance.... if your thinking of some Mods. If I decide to hang onto mine I will end up changing a few things.. Milltek & Haldex controller... Have you used them before for the previous mods ?

December isn't that far away and you'll then have a great car for the winter.

Stirling - not far at all. I'm after the R as being an everyday car so it should fit the bill fine.

I know Star very well - they fitted the 1.8T engine to my golf 5 years ago and I've used them for servicing ever since. Always good service from Jim and Brian.

I'm hoping to replace my A4 with a B5 RS4 early next year, if I can find the funds shocked.gif

No December will be here before we know it!

  • 1 month later...

My car has arrived early - collecting on Saturday - can't wait!!

Is anyone interested in pictures of the cloth seats? I went to see the car last weekend and they look good. Unfortunately the headlining is the light grey which is disappointing. Seems you need leather for the dark headlining. VW should really tell you this in the literature.

I get my car on sat too and also with cloth seats. I went to see it yesterday and ill admit to thinking the roof lining was too light compared to the rest of the interior, i would have def pref roof to be darker but hey it still looks good although it was a bit on the dirty side as it had just been taken of the truck.

I'm getting my car from Specialist Cars in Kirkcaldy. The light headlining is OK but would have definately preferred it to be dark. Reckon I'd have paid for the dark headlining if I'd had been given the choice.

Oh well, I'm sure I can live with it as hopefully it will be an awesome car to own.

Have now seen another 3 R32's since spotting my first. Most recent was a dark blue one at the Forth Road Bridge yesterday about 5pm ish.
