pingpongpo
My cambelt '52 Golf PD130 is in need of a change soon and I'm wondering is it worth getting the waterpump done at the same time? Also, what do they replace when doing this? Do you replace rollers, tensioners etc?
Tobes49
Do the waterpump at the same time. No question. Where I work we replace: Belt tensioner damper (only upto mid 2002 not fitted after this) idler

pingpongpo
I've had a couple of quotes now which come in at £443 and £432 with the waterpump changed. Is this reasonable?
Hudster
got mine done (belt & water pump) with an MOT for £460 so that sounds reasonable
AnniBooster
Just had a 60K service and Cam belt on my 150PD the main VW Dealer charged £390 to change cambelt. With no extra labour charge to change the water pump. All I had to pay for was the Pump £27 and the extra coolant to top the system back up.
