shaiboy_uk
Hi all, When i first got my VW Passat, the mirror switch on the drivers door would control each mirror on its own depending if i select R or L mirror. Now when i select R, it controls both mirrors at once! on select L, it only controls the left mirror! No real big deal, but anyone know why this is happening? is it the switch thats at fault? Thanks for any help. Cheers Shaiboy_UK
Rustynuts
I think you'll find it was like that when you got it. The idea is that you set the right hand side mirror to where you want, then set the left hand side to suit. Once you get them set like this, changing the right hand side changes them both, so that different drivers don't need to muck about so much. They both go up and down together. shaiboy_uk
Hi, Thanks for your quick reply. I was 95% sure that when i got it they work each other on their own, in fact i'm sure the manual stated this. But I must be wrong, i'll check the manual later and get back to you if i'm wrong, but I doubt your wrong as you seem to know your stuff hehe. Thanks again Shaiboy_UK
Wobby
I am the same, i thought mine moved separately. Thinking back, why would i look at the left mirror when adjusting the right ? I am guessing mine moved together, just i never paid enough attention to spot it!! So dont worry, your not alone

drpellypo
I'm sure there's a way of disabling this. Have a look in the manual. I just remember reading about it in mine, and there being something along the lines of that.
