Tunbridge
I have read many times on here that it’s a waste of time/money fitting an induction kit to an S3 as the standard set up is good enough. However is there any point in fitting a ‘better’ replacement panel filter in the standard box such as a K&N like this or will this offer no significant improvement over the standard filter? 1ndy
I have the K&N and its quite good - as long as it well looked after!
Tunbridge
Does it make anymore induction noise or sound any better than the standard item?
1ndy
From what I can tell it doesnt make that much difference in sound - i did notice a small increase in speed but my motor is a diesel. You may find it a bit more noticable in an S3.
Paul
Ive had friends measure the different filters and there is hardly anything in it. I am a strong believer in sticking with the original air filter and changing every 10K miles.
