Racing online yesterday and I was solidly mid-table every race, same as I've been for as long as I remember. Today, load it up and I'm suddenly setting laps 2 seconds per lap faster than my average, and my fastest lap was almost a second faster than my previous Personal Best set with low fuel and one-lap tyres! Using the same setup as yesterday, its the same game, no updates, racing the same people and suddenly out of 7 races I had 5 x 1st's, 1 x 2nd and 1 x 3rd (having tangled with the winner of the race I finished second in while trying to hold the lead, bending my suspension, getting massive understeer and STILL setting faster lap times than yesterday!). I like the FZR, basically a 911GT2 race car, rear engined, rear wheel drive, 500bhp, no traction control. Only available if you have the S2 license though. I have to say I'm impressed, the physics model does seem very good and its not boring to drive at all. The AI on the other cars isn't too clever though. I've managed to get from the back of 10 Pro drives to win by a good few seconds in the head to head races. Not much more of a challege that I can get unless I pay. Just need to decide now if I want to stump up the pennies for the full version. I don't play GTR that much as it is and GTR2 is out soon if its not out already. Mmmmm decisions decisions. They are fairly dense though, I just use them for practising and then play online for real racing Can't wait for GTR2 and Test Drive Unlimited. Omi Posted September 28, 2006 Report Share Posted September 28, 2006 Download the Wingman Drivers (Google) and you'll be able to use your wheel if it's a Logitech item. I use my Force Feedback Pro wheel in 270 degree mode and it's awesome. Who votes we set up a TSN Demo Server for everyone to play on? The demo is freeeeeeee...
