If I remember correctly, there is a set of instructions in ETKA application detailing whats required and how to retrofit the deactivation key switch. I've no longer got it installed on any of my PC's as the version didn't cover my new B7. But, I'm sure there's plenty of people on here who have it (or access to it). I did read through it when I had my B6 and it seemed relatively easy (although it may still be something you'd want to leave to a dealer due to the safety aspects). techieboy Posted October 23, 2006 Report Share Posted October 23, 2006 Yep. But don't ask how I found it as it was bound to have been by luck. Mainly by plugging in random chassis numbers, gearbox types, engine outputs etc. and doing search on them. From memory, there was a whole section of notes about common faults and fixes. Like the dreaded fading chrome trim strips, the dodgy wiper arms et al. I'm sure one of them related to a retrofit kit for the de-activation switch and warning light. Airbag Deactivation and Front ISOFIX was made standard on B7's half way through the 2006MY. Parts you need from memory are; >> 8E-3-100000 New Glovebox loom New Upper Interior Light Key Switch (to Barrel number) Various Connectors and Plugs Plus coding into the vehicle 8E-3-100000>> New Glovebox loom 'Airbag Off' Switch for Dashboard Bracket for above switch Blanking Caps for above Bracket Key Switch Various Connectors and Plugs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
