BertieBassett
I was just wondering what people thought with regards to how much the 360 will come down for Christmas. My problem is that Argos are doing a cracking offer, of the Premium Pack plus a Mega Pack - in total the console, HDD, wireless controller, wired controller, remote control, steering wheel, facia and a game of your choice. For £280. So do I go and get one tonight, or wait for the price to possibly go down at Christmas?
Snail
The price of the 360 is not due to drop, but the package's may get more appealing. The next month or so has some really good releases, so the biggest problem at xmas will be what to play
Atomic
You must also be running the risk of no availability if you wait?
Pincher
Didn't know Argos sold Fezza's
BertieBassett
The risk of availability is one I don't want to take, certainly seeing as there were only 30 left at one store when a mate picked one up earlier. I'd be looking at getting it tonight or tomorrow. Its a cracking deal, I don't know how much better the offers can get, thus my post. The WII is out in December too, so I wasn't sure if there would be a bit of a console/price war. Of course the big war is PS3 Vs 360, but some of the stuff coming out of the WII, the nifty controller - could cause a dent in the armory of 360 this Christmas. But then as someone else said, the PS3 will be out at about £400 so why should they lower the price?
Snail
[ QUOTE ] You must also be running the risk of no availability if you wait? [/ QUOTE ] Id guess Microsoft and Nintendo will have stupidly large numbers of units available, to take advantage of Sony's PS3 supply issues. I cant imagine for one moment they will want to be caught short!
NeilB
There's loads available, we had a delivery of 15 yesterday with lot's more available at the supplier.
CarMad
On a side note .. have you seen that Sony will have only 80,000 PS3s available at launch in Japan.
NeilB
Haven't they also said that they are going to clamp down on people importing them to Europe to?
CarMad
Yep ... Li Sang is it have basically been put out of business because of Sony's recent court case against them. From current reports I doubt we will see a PS3 before mid 2007 at this rate.
Newbie123
It's not a bad deal but that is for a core. If you are intending to go online with it and join the live community and you also have a HD ready TV then you would probably better off going for a 360 premium bundle, which will also include the headset for online play & HD tv cables. For example Play have a bundle which includes an extra wireless controller & PGR3 for £289 Play.com 360 offer
