Cupramax
Nice one Vern. You'll probably find it gives a bit more when its fully loosened up. I had a 140tdi courtesy car the other week with 25k on it and it flew.
TDiAvant
Nice one mate 156Bhp. I got 144 from the rolling road meet at AMD. So would you get it chipped?
Philbes
But aren't all dyno bhp figures just an estimate? The torque at the wheels is accurately measured and this is used to 'calculate' the engine's power by assuming certain losses (sp?) in the gearbox, etc. I am always suspicious when every car of a certain model is quoted as having a power output well above above the manufacturer's figure. Will22
It well known that VAG tdi's read above stock. My track car was tested at 172bhp stock, that was after I bought it 4 years ago with 2k on the clock. That was the old 1.9 engine but still no smoke, unlike now but it has a bit more than 172bhp now so can't complain
UBM
Mine has 25k on the cloock now and it certainly goes - maybe Sparky will testify....

[/ QUOTE ] Yes mate, Simon @ Emaps will be doing it, he has mapped a few cars for me and my mates now BMW 330d/BMW 540i/BMW 320d / leon cupra / Bora tdi 150....... all faultless, interesting enough he limits the power to around 185 bhp ish and around 300lbft ish on the MY2006 >>> as the clutches aint as good as the earlier ones nice one Audi When i get time to have it remapped i will re dyno it......if i dont swap it for a 233ps 3.0 Tdi B7 Avant s line with clear front indicators this maps to 280 bhp & over 550NM

ysabelle
I have to admit that the 140 is a cracking engine. Took me a while to adjust to the 170. A mate has a B7 140 Tdi and my old B7 140 Tdi would routinely pass his on our countless run-in's. I assume factors such as how the engine was run in, type of fuel, condition of fuel filter etc. would also play a part.
