Polo GTI dead pedal

All,

I am trying to find out some more information regarding the dead pedal fitted to my Polo. Its a plastic pedal that I would like to remove and replace with one similar to (or the same as) the pedal fitted to cars like the Golf GTI.

Here's mine:

Part number of the dead pedal is 6N2 864 417. Unfortunately I don't have anything like ETKA at my disposal and Google is no help. Wondered if anyone can help me in finding out if there is anything in an alloy finish available?

What do you think, any chance? Or am I going to have to MacGuyver one

Reckon you'll have to butcher one. Make sure you get a right hand drive pedal. Left hand drive GTI one's won't fit right hand drive GTIs.

MK4 GOlf Anniversary and R32, Beetle Sport edition and TT all had pedals like you are after, not sure if anyof them will fit though.

If you want to have a go at DIY - I haev a US Beetle Turbo S auto dead pedal cover in the garage, its pretty large so you might be able to cut and shape to giev what you are after.

There was a firm in japan in the last two days talked about in the Golf GTI section that makes the metal one for RHD cars, Think it was in a thread about metal DSG padels they may make polo ones too.
