Sparky
No, it will be fine. That's why the electronic limiter is there, to prevent damage to the car. Welcome to TSN

D1MAC
Don't worry in the slightest - it's one tough engine (as long as you look after it). Whatever people think about in terms of lack of torque, top 'endiness' etc, it's top dollar engineering and it will take this, as long as you aren't stupid. Mine doesn't even swallow oil and it gets the full range of welly application (over nearly 50k now). Just make sure you check the oil every couple of weeks/500 miles and you will have no problems. Front suspension is a different matter though
Stoogie
bouncing off the limiter at any revs puts strain on your engine, but you would have done nothing to your engine. I have KPro and my rev limiter is set at 8600, so 8200 limiter is a real safe limit. Just don't hold on the limiter for to long, enjoy the vtec feel
drpellypo
I used to bounce the MX5 off the limiter at every gear change. It was uber fun! I wouldn't recommend it though... But as said, doing it once certainly wont have done any harm.
