Im watching www.ps3scene.com a lot at the mo. Its interesting watching their progress on hacking the PS3, and getting Linux running fully on the machine.

To be honest, that speaks more about the availability (or lack there of) of the PS3, they would have outsold the 360 on the first day if they had sufficient stock.

The 360 is pretty much %$^&ed in Japan. The people wont buy the console because it doesn't have enough Japanese orientated games, and the developers wont make the games, because the market isn't big enough to make money.

Bear in mind though, that MS made a special effort with regards to availability in Japan, ensuring more units were shipped there as they knew they had a tough market. I agree there is also most likely a massive brand loyalty to the PS over there too.

I can't wait to get one myself. Never was an XBox fan. Think a Wii and PS3 will do me nicely.
