paul_tdi
Hello! Yes you should be find providing you dont plan on driving to Lapland and back! They are a guidance and designde to warn you that they are low but not dangerously low to give you enough time to replace etc. As for getting them they are pricey! I have been lucky in the past and got genuine pads for not a lot of money off ebay so cant comment on any aftermarket items. It is not a massive job to replace them yourself if you are pretty handy with a spanner! Good luck and hope this helps! Paul
kite
Hi Paul, yes I can change them myself, will paint the calipers while I'm at it. OEM pads from Ebay, good spot
Sparky
My warning light came on and I did another 2,500 miles until they got replaced. Audi told me you're OK for another 3000 miles once the light has come on.
S4teve
I think I need to do mine soon - do I need any special tools. It's been a while since I've changed brake pads. Do I need a 7mm allen key? Are there any pads that would be better than OEM - I wouldn't mind changing discs and / or pads if they would improve the braking. Hate squeeky brakes so I wouldn't want high performance if it meant squeeking & squeeling.
Chav
[ QUOTE ] Hi all Just had the front pad warning light come on. Will the pads be OK to leave until after the festive season. So you're probably good for another 6-8K miles!
