Warcraft 2 like games?

I dont know if any of you played the old warcraft games, where you little men would go and chop wood, build medieval cities, dig the gold to fund your construction then fight the enemy on the other side of the map for the territory.

Well i really want a game like that. I hated command and conquer. I like the old orc and goblin type games with lots of greenery etc.

Anyway, my question is, are there any modern PC equivalents to this sort of game.

Warcraft 3 with the Frozen Throne expansion pack isn't that old. Or why not try World of Warcraft.

I still love the old Starcraft - I wish Blizzard would make a new version.

Woppum - I know that Warhammer, Lord of the Rings and Might and Magic all have current games out, one of these might give you what you are looking for.
