g60mat
Hi Guys, I've just ordered a brand new R32 but don't like the standard wheels. Want to put on the the 5 arm Audi 18" alloys as currently on the S Line models. Presume A3 alloys are a straight swap? Are these the same as the current A4 alloys? Looking to buy 4x brand new Audi alloys, will my standard R32 tyres fit? Cheers, G60MAT
Oli
Welcome to the forum Another one that doesn't like the standard wheels! I think they will fit, but they will also be very expensive - probably about £350+vat per alloy. For that money you could get some nice 19" BBS numbers, including tyres. The tyres will swap straight over off the R32 alloys When I got my .:R, it was the first thing I did was to swap the alloys
g60mat
Cheers mate, what's the ride like with 19's on, I do a lot of miles so was thinking of sticking with 18's? Cheers, G60MAT
Oli
Absolutely fine, I also do a lot of miles - maybe 15-20k per year. Obviously the ride is firm, its a sports car after all!!! I had a MKV GTI, with 19's, before I had my .:R, covered 8000 miles in 5 months in that, and Ive had my R32 for 4 months and cover 6000 miles with no probs what so-ever and they do look so much better than standard. Here a picture of my .:R with 19" BBS CHs on it.
Oli
PS - Remember that the CH's are lighter than the Monza's so makes the steering feel sharper, lighter and more responsive.
g60mat
Looks sweet, might have to start looking at 19's then! The 18's can always go on ebay! Cheers mate, G60MAT
Oli
I got a mere £695 for mine on ebay!!!, if I can remember correctly

N3WOB
Considered the RS4s
Bogdan
RS4 wheels will not work on MKV R32 since their offset is 21, compared with the R32's 51. They will come out from the wheel arches a lot, you will not be able to move.

g60mat
Look great, but think Bogdan's right don't think they will fit! Cheers, G60MAT

Bogdan
Yes, replicas might work , depending on the offset. It must be somewhere between 46-52 I think, I'm not sure, it depends on the wheel shape.

Tarmac_Terrorist
That's a shame - those RS4 wheels look brilliant on the R...compliment the parallel lines on the front grill.
Simonl
Think the standard wheels are better than the S line 18"s IMO I think the Audi rims are looking a bit dated now. Actually don't VW do some rims that are very similar on their TDI's, Detroits IIRC. anyway, for comparism...
RedRobin
Will the alloys from the VW Eos fit?
Bogdan
They should fit, since I think they are 54 offset, if I'm not mistaken. Although I don't know about the caliper clearance.
mike16v
OliH - black 3 door looks fantastic on the 19" BBS rims. I am very keen to swap the standard wheels as they are a nightmare to keep clean. Having said that, when they are clean, they do look good on the car..... theshadow
19s are no problem...I have CHs, recommend checking out CHs and CKs. CKs are a slightly different offset though (by a mm or two). CHs are means for the R32 IMHO. My DBP 2 door on CHs:

RedRobin
....The BBS CH are such a classic design. I think one always comes back to them as the best aftermarket solution.
