Lottie, I had a similar manky black toe nail once. Was told it's caused by pressure creating blister under the nail. Had to just leave it and eventually the nail falls away. When it comes off, the black stuff can be cleaned away leaving a rather exposed nail-less toe end. At that point, whatever you do, don't paint on nail varnish to try and get it to match the others.

I went for a long walk today and now the manky toe hurts more!!! SAUER0421.GIF I want it to fall off. The nail. mad.gif If i don't have a toe nail is that really really bad? confused.gif Will it grow another one or will I have a bald toe for ever and ever????
