Booster
My sat nav has frozen on me twice since Audi did the update. Not one single button will do anything even the button to make the screen move down except the volume / power button. If I turn the engine off and on it is still the same unless it is been left for a good while. Any ideas?
TDiAvant
Sounds like the new firmware has not taken, if you had a VAG-COM you could download to an earlier version. Are you able to restart the unit by holding the Radio and Setup button down?
Booster
Its just happened again Is it radio and setup to make the unit do a full reset?

JohnS3
Mine does it too. Normally on a morning when I turn the map view on it locks up. It's done it twice now, but a full reset sorts it out.
Booster
I've solved the problem (I think). I'm obsessed with having map view up when I get in the car. If you have the ignition on for a couple of minutes and then press the bottom right soft key to bring up the map it's fine
harddrive
I had the same problem with mine after the update. Every time I pressed the button to show the map on the nav menu it locked up. This went on for a couple of days and then while I was driving it came up with the message insert nav disc and then displayed yellow chinese text I turned the unit off and back on and when it restarted the firmware re applied The RNS-E is now working with no issues.
