Porsche Error Reading

Hi,

Audi has VAG-COM to read error code what about Porsche, and if the Porsche system was hooked up to the Audi would it be able to read the error codes on the Audi ?

Long story but basically had a new alternator fitted to my Audi by a Porsche garage (it was the nearest garage I could get to). Then I had the car serviced by an Audi place, who found errors in the memory for power to high and to low, they recon its the new Alternator, they cleared the errors and they came back, then cleared them again. I then took the car back to the Porsche place when they hooked up to there system they said there were no errors.

Trying to workout if the Porsche system could read the Audi faults.

The Audi garage is saying if you dont get a new alternator you could blow your ECU and airbag, Porsche garage saying no problem with it
