Remover Wiper Arms - you're having a bloody laugh!

Have lubed them up with WD40 and the buggers still won't shift off the bolt post frown.gif

Any suggestions (other than randomly attack car with v.large club hammer in a fit of pique)??

Be very careful, it's easier than you might think to snap a wiper spindle off! blush.gif

They can get quite seized on. Windscreen firms and most garages will have a wiper arm puller. Takes 10 secs then 169144-ok.gif

I used both methods.

3 legged puller for one, and the above for the other where I really needed a 2 legged puller.

The above is really effective. you dont damage the thread or spline, because you are applying light pressure to the underside of the arm, and the LOOSE! nut still on the top of the thread.

Also because the nut is still on there, is stops you flying off it when it eventually pops free.

Its really not as bad as it looks, and it is exactly the same mechanical action that the wiper arm puller would do.

Bwahahahaha!

1/2 an hour to get the N/S one off and then another 1/2 an hour trying to get the drivers side one off. All I've ended up doing it beding the wiper removal tool I bought.

Not funking impressed with Audi's wiper design right now mad.gif

Not at the moment - called the new Audi dealership near me and they said bring it down but not on a Saturday - not much good to me as I work in London smashfreakB.gif

Off on hols early on Sunday, so I plan to attack it with a rubber mallet when I get back.

Will keep you posted 169144-ok.gif
